the best method is to make sure you get your U.S. money or wait until the bank confirm the check is arthentic and credit to your account before you give him or her the vehicle. once the foreigner have your car,you will never see it again.

Cashiers check. My brother just sold his semi-truck to a guy in Hawaii and that's how they did it.
