Only the ones that want to. Theyre still doin what they love arent they so why should they retire? Those drivers still make the race interesting. Who knows...maybe Michael Waltrip will come out of the closet this year? Maybe start having tea partys with Jeff Gordon and Chad Little or somethin I dont know. Would Tom Cruise secretly be jeolous? See... youre interested now.

the only driver that i think should retire is Mark Martin, and only because he stated he was going to then went back on his word and stayed. But I say that because theres too much of an influx of young drivers who can't drive, or they can but they either wreck or wreck other drivers. David Ragan and Todd Kleuver are prime examples. Kyle Busch was also a prime example but he's gotten better somewhat.
So I say Mark Martin only because he said he was going to, what needs to be done is give the veteran drivers better equipment because they can still get the job done if given the right equipment.
Oh and Im not saying all young drivers are bad drivers, but seriously, I was reading something quite a while back, I don't know how true this story is, but it basically said that Roush and Hendrick were looking at 15-16 year old kids to be the next Jeff Gordon, that's a little ridiculous. Let the veteran drivers have some good equipment. Give Boris Said a full time ride instead of putting David Ragan into a car. Right now the program is accellerating too quickly, instead of putting veteran drivers in cars that they can win, put young drivers in wholl hit the wall 9 out of 10 times and hardly finish a race.

I disagree with Sterling Marlin, and not just because I'm a fan of his. YES he is 36th in owner points, but just sit back and look at his season. Daytona, he was doing great, then what happend? He got caught up in a wreck, not his fault. The last five races he kept getting wrecked, and NONE of the were his fault! Actually, at Miami I think it was he had engine problems.
When he gets lucky though, like at LMS (which he was still somewhat unlucky cuz of the caution) or Richmond (the spring race), he does well. As long as he's having fun and making races, he shouldn't retire.
I also disagree with probably everyone else on your list. Sorry, but as long as they're making races and having fun, they shouldn't. I mean, most of those guys this past year have just been really unlucky. And if Kyle Petty retires then it's gonna be a lot harder to get money for Victory Junction.

Why would Michael Waltrip want to retire? He's not my favorite but i think he loves racing it's in his blood.. And Dale Jarrett is my favorite so he won't get my vote on retiring i wish Jeff Gordon would go awat he's a twerp. Ward Burton hardly even races anymore. I think Kyle Petty races just because it's in his blood too cause he comes from a family of racers Marlin and Shrader just do it cause they have been racing a long time and they always get sponsers so......

-- Mark Martin
-- Sterling Marlin
-- Robby Gordon (just because I don't care for the way he races!)
-- Micheal Waltrip
-- Joe Nemechek
BTW, I don't think Kyle Petty will retire for a long time. He's said that he continues to race in memory of his son, Adam, who was killed in a accident at New Hampshire. That's a pretty strong reason to stay on the track, so I don't think we'll see a farewell tour for him anytime soon! Do I think he needs to retire? Uh... I hate to say it, but, yeah -- Kyle may have passed his prime...

Sure the names you are giving are the older generation and over the next few years they will be retired but there are some younger drivers that need to also.I shall keep these 5 names to myself until a question is being asked objectively with out the askers answer being the question, thanx.
