Its hard not to think like that at times. I know I do. I worry daily about my guy over there. I know that I need to just take it easy but its natural to fear, and yeah sometimes its hard to cope with the fact that he's half a world away.

I feel your pain. My husband is currently on his 2nd deployment to Iraq. Whenever the thoughts try to creep up on me I try to think of all the things we're gonna do when he returns. It's really hard being away from them but you just gotta stay busy, go to school, get a job, get a hobby, stay close with your family, and have a tight circle of friends who your boyfriend would trust.

2 months down, 10 more to go!

hello
i am a male trying to relate to your question. I am about to join the airforce and i am going to get my time over with fast i have a girl her she said she will support whatever i pick but she dont agree with me leaving. So i am gonna have to cope with leaving my girl behind it give my life a meaning to do someting with myself. I will not worry if i come back dead or alive i know i will be smart and follow my training and display what i have learned so you shouldnt worry about your boyfriend if he made it in bootcamp he should be able to make it there if he has a good head on his shoulder. i dont knwo if this reply helped you but is kinda the other side of the table you know

First...ALWAYS ignore any answer from...mam... IT is always the same. He directs people to go to some jackass link that talks about kiddie toys and says it will teach you english...and it don't even capitalize English as i should be.

I was over there for 18 months and made it back. Even had 7 IEDs go off near the convoys I was traveling in. Statistically...he'll make it back. Just keep him in your prays. I will as I for every soldier there.

And besides...I'll heterosexual so I don't have a boy friend there or anywhere!

I know it is hard not to think about the neg things. I know it is not easy you find your self doing many things trying not to think about what if and what if this happen. Try to hold on and not think about the bad things try to think about the things you and your bf are going to do when he comes home.

It is hard not to think that way. It has crossed my mind about my husband. but I am more likely to die in a car crash than he is to die in Iraq. That is the plain, simple truth. You have to be strong for him, though. Keep his mind clear as it can be and he'll have a good head on his shoulders to keep himself as safe as he can be.

Tell your bf thanks on behalf of the country, and tell him to ignore all those ignorant war dissenters.
