See, My friend is homeless and he used to go to church, but they deserted him. they won't help him find a place for shelter for the winter so he does not get sick. and they do not approve of him living at a single womans house. And he does not have any male friends to stay with.and plus this place called loves incorporated inc. has shelters but they will not let him stay there. They also have charity dinners every night there. but they will not let him eat there. And plus his own sister won't let him over for christmas or too live there. I would have him live here, but my landlord said I can't. I told his church and loves lots of times, that this is unfair they do not listen to me. and this is supposed to be the Christmas season, no wonder my friend is depressed and stopped going to church. maybe if they showed him that they cared and helped him he would not drink. A church is supposed to help people and care for them. in 1Corinthians chapter13. Jesus talks about LOVE,WHERE IS IT

"man", "some one" and "Julia" are mischevious pranksters who have found a way into Yahoo's programming and not only are they mimicing the questions posed by real participants, but they also offer a very suspicious link that smart people shoud NOT CLICK ON: it may be a virus, dialer virus or spyware seeder trap.
It's evident that "man", "some one" and "Julia" are also ZOOMING fast up the participant level ladder too; they may be seeking to snatch up points. Eventually, Yahoo administration will find a way to foil their plans.....here's your chance to kick a spammer in the balls:
ALL responsible participants of Yahoo Answers forum need to report these pranksters when they're seen. They may change names, but their MO is the same and they're easy to spot.

Well, a man is not supposed to live unmarried with a woman. Also, your friend sounds like he made some kind of trouble. That's usually why an org won't host a needy person. Have him stay at your house. Or have him stay with a relative that can let him stay.

I am sorry for your friend! I would agree with you that the church should be meeting and caring for his needs. They should also be willing to reach out in spite of any situation to help, encourage and love.
I agree and I am saddened that the church he attends has chosen to take this hard line.
Love always wins but unfortunately it sounds like this has been forgotten.

In a perfect world Dude, but it ain't.
Shelters and churches don't turn people away unless they have to. It could possibly be just overcrowding, but you said he drinks. Is he a violent drunk? Then he's been turned away for the safety of the shelter/church and its patrons.
He's obviously given his friends and family reason to shun him as well.
Don't blame society for your friends own self-destruction.

It's the season to care, but, it's against human nature to go out of our way to help the less fortunate.

1 Corinthians 13:2-And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
