Slavery, and no, it's not okay.
You don't get to pick and choose; you do what makes sense in modern times. What you get to do is realize that it was written about 2000 years ago. Is it still wrong to get a tattoo? For a man to be clean-shaven? For a woman to have short hair?
The society at the time condoned slavery. They didn't have market economy, with labor-saving technology and construction equipment. Now it just doesn't make sense.
Another example, "Be fruitful and multiply." Does God still want everybody to have a dozen kids? I hope not. But at the time the Bible was written, there weren't 6 billion people.

It is written that Jesus was the end of the law. At first I thought that meant like the "end of slavery".
Then I thought that could mean like there was a list of laws, and Jesus' messages(laws) were added to them at the end of the list.
(That would mean we keep obeying all the previous laws plus Jesus' laws (messages).
My reading and study of the Bible over the past 50 odd years revealed that the overall theme of God, Jesus, and the Bible was;
1. Harmony is harmony.
2. Disharmony is the most common sin against God. (In theory it is the only sin against God. Each sin includes disharmony.)
Bright and early this morning, the Holy Spirit said this to me. (By mental telepathy of course.)
Jesus is the end of the laws. Which means he did just like we do when we give a briefing or a speech. We list the details of what we want to say, ..... and then we summarize the speech by stating the overall theme that includes all the principles involved in the list of details.
In short: Jesus summarized the laws. By stating the principles of all the laws.
sorry for the long answer.
PS: It seems if any verse is interpreted to create disharmony, then that verse has been corrupted in translation (or worse).

"man", "some one" and "Julia" are mischevious pranksters who have found a way into Yahoo's programming and not only are they mimicing the questions posed by real participants, but they also offer a very suspicious link that smart people shoud NOT CLICK ON: it may be a virus, dialer virus or spyware seeder trap.
It's evident that "man", "some one" and "Julia" are also ZOOMING fast up the participant level ladder too; they may be seeking to snatch up points. Eventually, Yahoo administration will find a way to foil their plans.....here's your chance to kick a spammer in the balls:
ALL responsible participants of Yahoo Answers forum need to report these pranksters when they're seen. They may change names, but their MO is the same and they're easy to spot.

What you need to be doing is dealing with spirituality; that means you take the things you learn and decide which your spirit feels are good and of Truth. Then use those things to go by.
The scriptures are guidance, and they have been modified, changed, etc. for the convenience of some. So, it's important that in your decisions you use your own mind and spirit.

Yes everyone is right in interpreting the Bible, as long as they do it right. I have never identified with this 'Fuller' person you speak of. Who is he?

This question is unclear to me what your really asking. Are you name dropping? How would I know who Reverend Richard Fuller is and why should I care what HE says? I'm a christian and I find this question pretentious.

All testaments were written by some human being. That God business, or sanctioned business was dreamed up by some person, not a no-such-thing- God.

Homosexuality is still wrong.
That man is not right in what he's saying, what the Bible says it says. The stance on homosexuality stands in both Testaments as being an abomination.

Who is Rvd. Fuller, and why would he allow himself to be called "reverend"? There is none "reverened" but Jesus Himself.
That disqualifies his answer to anything.
