Don't forget that they talked about "global cooling" not even 20 years ago, and plenty of fools fell for that one

I don't believe people can treat global warming as a religion, because, unlike religion, global warming has scientific proof. The polar caps are melting. The sea levels are rising. European summers are much hotter now than they were even 10 years ago. The winters are not as harsh. In America, planting zones must be re-drawn. In California, winter was from December to February, warming in March. Now winter begins in January and lasts through March. Certain species are disappearing because of weather changes. These are facts I have seen with my own eyes. I don't need Al Gore or anyone else to tell me that global warming is real. However, planetary weather changes are natural. There is no question that humans are contributing, but we are no means the only factor. What people try to do is politicize the issue, which might explain why you feel there is a religious quality to it.

Easy I can PROVE global warming is happening.

But the question should be how much of global warming is caused by man?

Answer not much. The best number, IE the worst, is that man MIGHT be responsible for 2.5% of all global warming. So that even if the world warmed up by the 10 degrees that some alarmist claim, man would only be responsible for at most .25 of a degree and for that we have already spent BILLIONS of dollars.

Think about much good that money could have done. Sadly it's already wasted, too bad.

The ice caps are melting, not only changing vast expanses of ecosystems, but causing the oceans to rise, and people and animals to flee their homes. Ocean temperatures and the general temperatures have risen. Storms have intensified.

We have to almost treat it like a religion. This is the only world we have right now. If we screw this one up, we have no where to go. Venus is full of the same greenhouse gases that we are exposing out planet to. Being able to prevent the end of the world and life as we know it seems like a very good option.

if you treat it like a religion, then global warming wins! If you ignore it, then you win!

I don't "believe" in global warming.

I accept the overwhelming amount of evidence from nearly every branch of science that it is a real threat, and is already warming our planet and causing real damage. That's reaching a logical conclusion, not "believing."

I guess your lack of understanding of science, and fear of not being able to understand, makes you feel threatened by scientific knowledge. That's fine, you just go ahead and keep your head stuck in the sand. As long as you stay out of the way and don't actively fight for your ignorant position, the rest of us will go ahead and do our best to fix the problem and save the world for you, even if you remain ignorant. Aren't we nice people? :)

Because the media has latched onto the subject with all the liberal zeal they can muster and wont let it go. We are not the cause of the planet warming and could not be even if we tried to be.

When your home is infested by termites, you don't let them just eat your whole house. Our atmosphere is infested with particles that ARE ruining our whole way of life.

Most people are just too scared to admit that they may have to give up their wasteful way of living. There is no conspiracy; we are trying to save this planet for you and for your children.

It's quite easy to believe in it.

BTW, I'm not saying we're causing it, but it exists.
