Is this unattractive?

I am a junior in High School and i dont chew all the time but when i feel like it i will buy a can and have a dip here and there. Is this unattractive or do some people care if it happens or what is the take from others point of view. No one else in the school seems to have a reaction either way

well, to be honest, i think it is unnatractive and definately not safe. You really don't want to be getting hooked on nicotine at your age, the earlier you start the better your chances are for having major health issues as an adult.
Secondly, most girls cannot stand "spitting'. So even if they aren't reacting to it now, they will be.
Your teeth get discolored from it and it can definately ruin a cute smile. It gets caught in your teeth, so when you talk, people can see that. Plus eventually you have to spit. It is not becomming for a young man to start those habits.
I'm not saying you will never get a girl because you chew. But you are setting the standard for your self by what you choose to do. I come from a small little dairy community, there are tons of dairy workers and farmers that chewed when I was in school. Many of them have health issues and many of them are still single. Guess what I'm trying to say is that no matter how good looking you are, it can really turn off a person when you have a habit like chewing or smoking.

Chewing really is a disgusting habit. Think about it--it's a habit that requires you to SPIT your germ-riddled saliva in a nasty cup (GAG!), or worse, all over the place. It also stains, and eventually rots, your teeth--which is not attractive in a person. That's not even getting into health issues that nicotine use causes (high blood pressure) and the fact that you get cancer of the mouth from chewing tobacco.

Yes. It is really unattractive. Girls will not want to kiss someone who chews. Also, the spitting that goes along with it is disgusting too. I would recommend that you not do it, especially if you want to get in good with the ladies...

It is always unattractive, especially to women. It is a filthy, disgusting habit that has no real purpose. If you have to have something in your mouth, try sunflower seeds or gum. At least with those you stand the chance of getting a date someday.

Yes it is very unattractive and you should stop before you become addicted. It is very gross to see a man spit. However, not any worse than smoking. However you should stop doing it while you are able. Good luck and God bless****

chew what Tobacco? Hell ya it's gross you're in Jr in High School? by the time your 25 your teeth will be nasty and so will your gums and possibly get mouth cancer......I hope you're joking

I find chewing tobacco immensely unattractive. Please, please, PLEASE don't ruin your nice smile with nasty chewing tobacco. And it WILL ruin your mouth. Your gums will become discolored, and with prolonged usage, oral cancer is almost assured. And the spitting? That alone makes me want to spew. You're young but the damage you do to your mouth now will not be reversed. I've seen patients who have chewed on a consistent basis, and it ain't pretty.

It can be unattractive if you make it that way. Keep you spit to yourself and watch your teeth so they dont have all that gunk in them.
