Lego's has Thomas the Tank Engine sets. They are made of the big Lego's so they are safe for little ones. The sets come in many different sizes so you can pick one that fits your budget. You can also tell others to add to the set if they don't know what to get your son. Plus, it is a toy that will grow with him. He may just push the train around to start with but soon he'll be able to build the track and really play with it.

I say those "Little People" toys! My son is 18 months and loves them. They have all kinds of different settings like "Circus," or "Farmhouse," or "School bus" etc. Also, my son loves the Thomas the Train set. It says for 3 and up, but I just took away all the small stuff and left the track and train...he loves it! They also have remote control cars for younger kids that look like something my son would like. Good luck!

They have power wheels for his age. Go to powerwheels.com, I think that is the site, they have information on all the different products they sell and where they sell them, they have a catigory for age also. I think power wheels is a great idea!

Boys are so hard to buy for, mine is anyway, at 15 months all he wanted was car and construction stuff. oh and he loved, still does, markers, but what kid doesnt like to draw on stuff?
