theres this girl and we have feelings for each other but she is not ready for a relationship because she has had her heart broken before. its our senior year and she says she just wants to relax and have a good time. i was wondering if i should get her a christmas present just to show her that she is special to me but i'm not sure if i should or not. would this just make her scared or what? if i should get her something, any ideas?

Make her a card. It is thoughtful and shows you put effort into it, but it's not over-the-top enough to frighten her.

Get her something that shows that you value her friendship at this time. Don't make it in any way romantic at this point as she will take it as a "push". Give her a cute stuffed animal holding a Christmas card with some coupons in it that say "redeem this coupon for anytime you need to talk or just want to relax and have a good time with a friend" or whatever else you would like to put - such as "good for a walk in the park and a friend by your side" or "this coupon gives you a movie - your choice - and popcorn/drinks with a friend - also good for some laughs or tears during the movie!". You get the point I am sure! Those coupons as they become redeemed will give you the NATURAL chances of slowly allowing your deeper relationship to develop, and no pushing too far during them, let her make those choices as after all you want to remain together either way for now. i say u should. She might get surprised and then she might have a relationship with you. So if you are going to get her something here is some you might want to get:
1. Box of chocolate (unless she is allergic)
2. Dozen roses (unless she is allergic)
3. Jewelry (unless she is allergic)
4. any thing will be fine because you made it. if she likes you then she will treasure it and never throw it away (till you break up or u get her mad or something).

Of course you should get her something. Girls love jewelry and flowers. Especially roses. Get a big batch. Even know you 2 arent together girls like that stuff. I am sure it wont make her scared. Have a good time with her and buy her your love.

yes get her something that says just want to let you know you thought about her. something that you'd get a friend that
happen to be a girl. That way you show her you care with out scaring her in anyway.

I would get her a gift, but just don't make it really fancy or formal or anyhitng and I think she will definately appreciate the thought.
