I have not had the classic flu since I was 9 years old (I'm in my 30's). I feel weak and dizzy, no energy - everything I do makes me exhausted. Just walking up the stairs is a real effort. I'm throwing up everything I eat and drink, even plain water. I've been throwing up medicine which I need for my heart, both day time and night time. Any suggestions on that? The pills cannot be crushed because they are time-released. What are the symptoms? Do I have the flu? What can I do about it? Please help! I feel horrible.

I would go and tyr to find my answers on webMD.com its a really good medical website. you can even talk to doctors online and ask what they think is wrong with you. But truly i would go see a doctor in person, because with you throwing up your heart medication, they could most likely give you shots of your medicine at least until you find out what is wrong with you because of your other symptoms. I would talk to them about getting some medicine that helps with nausea and throwing u. And remember with anything you do try not to rush yourself take your time. At certain times when you aren't throwing up you should think about drinking some fruit smoothies it will give some energy without you eating because eating doesn't seem to work for you.Hope you feel better!

It sounds like you might have a recent onset of some kind of food poisoning which might resolve itself within a day or two. However, there are many viruses and other forms of bacteria that could be causing your symptoms. They sound severe, and I would advise that you see your doctor asap. You need to give him an accurate history of your activity that may be related to your sickness. You didn't specify your heart condition, but it seems to add compication to your situation- another reason you should seek medical help. If your body continues to react this way, you might find yourself in a worse state than you expected. Your continuous vomiting could lead to a dangerous state of dehydration. It already sounds like your loss of body fluit is taking a toll, as evidenced by your difficulty in climbing the stairs. Again, you should seek medical help immediately. Good luck.

Please go see a doctor. Relying on random health advice from someone online who may not have the right qualifications might result in serious health issues.
