The Alamo is considered the cradle of Texas liberty. As you may have found out on your visit, it is considered a very sacred place. As many people who violently lost their lives there, on both sides of the battle, it is hardly a stretch to believe there is an energy about the place. Lost souls? Angels? Protecting spirits? Comforting beings? Hard to say which. Maybe all.

I'd have to see the photo to be sure but I wouldn't get too excited about seeing a spirit. I'm guessing the Christmas tree was illuminated and that you probably used a flash and with that much light all going in different directions, not just one defined light source, you're bound to get some really strange effects. A lot of weird things can happen on film since it's so sensitive to light. I'd like to see the pictures so i can try and offer a better explanation I've had quite a few years of training in photography.

that can also happen from a slow shutter speed. when pictures are taken in low lighting (like at night), the shutter is open longer. it takes longer for an image to leave a mark on the film. if a person was moving while the shutter was open, the image is not dark enough in any one spot b/c it wasn't still long enough. it's probably just a person who was walking by and the shutter was open longer for the exposure. i just took pictures the other night of what appears to be ghosts in my backyard by the pool. however, they were wandering raccoons, who didn't hold still long enough for the exposure to take.

Without seeing the picture, have you considered lens flare? It can actually be worse under low light conditions. I had lens flare from the moon completely annihilate a photo once.

Everything is energy, and energy can take whatever form it likes. Sometimes it appears as humans or as angels. And we humans love to see ourselves. that's why we see faces in car grilles.
