I've heard from people straight out of Navy boot camp that they are getting stress cards now. Stress cards are cards that you pull out if you feel that you can't handle whatever you're doing, and you get a little break. They are complete and utter crap, especially in Navy boot camp. It's not difficult at all, and if you can't take it, you shouldn't be in the military.

Urban Legend as far as it goes. there are cards issued, but not to be left alone.. but printed on them are resources available to seek help for depression and other issues. It doesn't get you out of getting yelled at by the Instructors at all.

How in the h*** are you going to use a stress card when you are tied up by terrorists?! Think about it before asking a stupid question. I think they do give some soldiers pills just in case they are captured.

They used to be called TS cards. When things were getting tough or you were getting quite upset about something, you could go to the chaplain, tell him your problems and he would punch your TS card for you. TS(tough sh**) card. Naw, it was just a little joke amongst soldiers.
