How do i get the radio to go off in my 1997 lincoln continental when i open up the driver door?

I have to open up another door to get the radio to go off.

Install a microswitch in driver door

Simple....It's a bad switch in the door or door sill that controls this. I'm pretty sure that it's a dealer-only part, but first, try your local Autozone or similar parts place to see if it's available there- it'll be a lot cheaper from them. Tell them exactly what's going on, and they hopefully should be able to supply you with the part you need. Hope this info helps.
