Can't quote the bible here but I'm sure somehow it might be in there like when JC on Cross dying, did he doubt God or his existence or powerfulness will to save? Anyway?
I don't believe in what atheists believe in if they existed. Why do I say that becasue atheists don't exist.
[[[[[I'll get looked up by an atheist or 2 4 stating that but... on my email emailwise or whatever, I don't know much about, I don't care.]]]]]

Why don't they exist because I choose not to believe in them And they just MIGHT Not exist?!! Like if bear growls in wood no one hears does he make a noise no!! (yess??)

Getting back to answer / question If atheists did exist or assume they do, their power or their godliness ain't amountable to much. God is just the opposites. If opposites attract then the greater prevails fi not equal. Even if other conditions were and are the case God would still win out. He is so great He allows you to ask and answer that question. An atheist so called fictional atheist would not be too happy with their situation concerning God, yet if an atheist existed looking at examples of atheists that people believe in some are probably normal and some'd kill ya if they didn't believe in a jail that is there for any one how doesn't exist.
Yet if God was an atheist he couldn't change his mind wouldn't as He does not change. But anything is possible with God so it would be ok for Him to be an atheist because they don't exist believe they don't exist and anything is possible with Him.
Would it not be like saying What if God was a bird, big deal, thats funny, he is not a bird.

Well there is a good chance "god" is.

Perhaps this god you speak of is another sentient being in some other universe who has the knowledge and technology to create other universes. Perhaps he/she/it/they designed our universe to his/her/its/their specifications, perhaps in their own image, perhaps simply as an experiment to learn of the creation of his/her/its/their own.

Perhaps our reality is simply a simulation for someone holidaying.

If either were the case, well things would be just as they are.

One could also argue that if this/these beings were in fact god then why all the famine? why all the destruction and greed and why the chaotic universe? Could god actually be evil? who knows.

The truth may lie in these extremes or somewhere in the middle. Whichever is true the creator probably finds it interesting that in the name of what is supposed to be all good and loving that we destroy ourselves and many of those around us.

----

subquestion for everyone.

Why is it that the religious people who answer all get so angered by the question? It seems to be that the viewpoint is never question anything. Very dangerous...thats why people are dying.

Please accept this person is asking a question and treat it as such, if you wish to persuade him then respond in a fair and level way. Hostility never gets anyone anywhere.

Interesting idea... NO. Atheists believe there is no god, no life after death, no point in living if you look at it critically. Don't be an atheist just because you think it makes you look smart, or cool. Obviously you don't even no what it mean to be an atheist, or to be a Christian. Therefore... don't make people think you are cool or that you actually believe what you say you believe by asking stupid questions like this. If everyone became Christian and followed God perfectly, THEN the world would be a better place. Duh. Look at the whole picture and don't try to be cool.

Let me see if I got this right:

God who spoke to the prophets is without God? And because God is without God, would the world be a better place?

God or no God will not change how man treats his/her follow man. It really doesn't matter in human behavior if God is without God.

To take the belief of God (theism) or no God (atheism) and try to combine them into an attribute of God is different. But how do we know God? By the words that God spoke to the prophets, the words you choose to believe or not to believe.

Do those words say God is without God. No, they are silent on this. This means that "God is an atheist" can not be found in the words spoken to the prophets. Which means the phrase if God was an atheist is not supported by reveal knowledge.

It is equivalent to saying pink elephants are without pink elephants, but pink elephants did not speak to the prophets. Pink elephants belong to man since he made them up. To say that man made God up, especially that God can be atheist, is simply saying that I do not believe in the prophets, I do not believe in God, I am an atheist.

Your question is cleaver, some what amusing, but I think you should stick with the pink elephants. Maybe they will speak to you.

You have asked what would happen if a being stopped believing in itself. That sounds like Schizophrenia on the part of the being. Not likely.

If God were an Atheist....

He'd consider the 'divinity' of the moment and dismiss it.

...and then *poof* he'd disappear in a puff of logic....

I doubt that it could happen. If He truly was God and also truly was an atheist, that would mean that God was not in fact ominscient, which means that He would not truly be God.

He would be locked up probably because as an atheist he would not be able to believe in his own existence!!!
