Ketchup is mostly tomatoes. But there's vinegar and seasonings in there too. It's also pureed.

Tomatoes have that jelly substance in them, plus there's seeds. I find if you're dicing up tomatoes, if you remove that inside part first (the jelly and the seeds) then they're a lot more appetizing. Use a knife to cut it out, just like you would do to a bell pepper. That still might not guarantee they like it though.

I love ketchup, but HATE tomatoes.

maybe they don't like the texture of tomato's.. all squishy and stuff. plus ketchup has a lot more that tomato's in it.. lots of sugar.

I don't know, but that's how I am, I think it's mainly because the texture of the tomato, yuck tomatos, lol.

I CAN GO ONE BETTER THAN THAT, I AM ALLERGIC TO RAW TOMATOES BUT CAN EAT PROCESSED TOMATOE PRODUCTS , LIKE KETCHUP AND CANNED TOMATOES! AIN'T THAT A HOOT!

IT'S THAT PEOPLE , CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT KETCHUP ON THEIR FRENCH FRIES , BUT CAN DO WITHOUT THE TOMATOES IN THEIR SALADS!
