Chino, CA to Albuquerque, NM using http://maps.yahoo.com , has a total miles of 770.9 miles (10 hours, 25 minutes)

770.9 / 28 mpg = 27.53 gallons
@ $2.50 per gallon = $68.83
@ $3.00 per gallon = $82.59

Based on my driving experience (if I am using 1 mile = 1 minute), driving times are 12 hours, 50 minutes, a cost of $100 for gas (one way), plus the cost of snacks, of course.

Yahoo Maps shows 770.9 miles, which I think is between the centers of each city. Divide that by 28 and you will need about 27.532 gallons of gas. I am estimating the cost of gas to be $2.399 per gallon (based on NY prices at cheap gas stations), and I get $66.05. If it is a round trip double that, and it is $132.10.

well, on mapquest it's a total of 758 mi. so you need to find out how many tanks are in your car. once you find that out multiply 28 by that number and divide by 758. that number is the amount of time you have to fill up. so you'll have to see how much gas is at each station.

you'll probably have to fill up 3 times max. so i would extimate it would cost you around $100 for gas.
