On most keyboards, you will see little bumps on the 'F' and 'J' keys. Those are the keys you set your index fingers on.
your left pinky sits on the 'A' key, and your right pinky sets on the colon/semi-colon key.

both your thumbs go on the space bar. your left index finger goes on the letter F. your left middle finger goes on the letter D. your left ring finger goes on the letter S. your left pinky goes on the letter A. your right index finger goes on the letter J. Your right middle finger goes on the letter K. your right ring finger goes on the letter L. and your right pinky goes on that semi colon and colon sign. any more help and reach me at my yahoo.

there are several good programs for your pc to teach you proper placement, you can get good ones for cheaper at places like Target and Wal- Mart. GOOD LUCK!!
