How do you get rid of stinky smell from a new down jacket?

I tried washing it but it didn't help much.

Bacteria cause bad smells (I am guessing when they fart), sunshine kills bacteria so... Lay it out in the sun for like a whole day, on a very hot sunny day. That will do the trick. If you are in the states, you might be out of luck - winter. You might have to wait a couple months. Unless you are in Cali. or something.

You're wearing bird's feathers, so it's bound to stink. Sometimes washing it makes it worse and the down inside bunches. If you've washed it already and the smell continues, I suggest just airing it out. And I mean outside air, not just hanging it on a doorknob or something. Adding any strong perfume will just give you scented stink, which is even worse than plain stink. So just let it air out. It will go away. I've done this and its worked.

Hmm, i suggest you put it in the washer and put some washing scent soap and then let it dry...That's how i get it out. But i should be a really good scent, so that no one smells the stinky in it.
