I am in love, I know that sounds funny, but whenever I think of him and I am not with him, I get so happy that my stomach ties in knots and I feel sick, especially if I am eating. Yes, it does sound weird but I believe it is true that you can feel so happy, you do feel like vomiting.

It's weird you should ask that question. I thought it was just me that got so deeply affected by emotion, mind you it hasn't occurred often- thank God! It was really horrible but it only happened because I was so upset.
A long, long time ago, I met a guy when I started a new job. He had a girlfriend but the two of us got on really well- as friends. After a few months it was pretty obvious that we were falling for each other and one day he said to me that if things were different, he knew that he would have fallen in love with me completely.
On my way home from work a little later on, I had to wait ages for my train. My stomach was churning and I really thought I was about to vomit violently. Instead, all of a sudden, a very loud involuntary sob came from deep inside me and I was in floods of uncontrollable tears.
It was about 10 years ago and really horrible but thankfully, I've never had emotion-induced nausea since.

yes it is. for the same reason as you can feel like vomiting from nervousness you can feel the same way from happiness. it's the adrenaline rush you feel when you're that happy.

oh yeah spontaneous vomiting is a direct result of being too happy...try watching a sad movie or thinking about something bad..that will bring you back to reality and settle your stomach....

yes sure it is . But it is a not a good habit to get into. Maybe you need to get some medical advice or help from a licensed doctor. It could be caused by some stomach problems.

vomiting and happiness are incompatible states... at least for me.
However - the band the EAGLES - ask each other "Are you having a good time?" with the question: Are you puking?
