honestly? look into the grieving process. learn how to grieve your loss and go from there ;) lots of books available
Americans in general don't know how to grieve anymore because of tards like the guy above me that haven't a clue how to actually deal with loss properly. And yet for some reason people like him are the first ones to respond when you ask. go figure.

It takes good old sweet time, and a lot of prayer. God is with you more when than ever during hard times. Call on him, he's here with you. There's a reason for what has happened, he may not reveal it in our time, but you have to have faith in him. Long walks help, so does calling on your friends. You will make it through this and things will get better. What helped me was being alone for a while, going on long walks, smiling, doing a lot of volunteer work and excersise. Also you might want to call your girlfriends, buy a new sexy outfit and go out dancing, and let yourself be lifted up by your friends support as well as the fun you'll have flirting :) it'll take your mind off things temporarily.

The pain of a broken heart lingers for a time, and the only refuge from the storm is in God, knowing and trusting that there are reasons and His are perfect reasons, and that something much better is coming to lyour life, because He is in control and has His plan, not ours as humans.
Keep the faith and you will be strong again.

You know the expression "time heals all wounds?"
Time is the only way. As time passes and you become farther removed from the break-up it will become much easier to handle.
There aren't any cut-and-dried ways to mend your heart. You can find ways to distract yourself and take your mind off it, of course. But you have to give yourself the time to recognize its over. Only then can you move on.

You don't deal with it.
You tough it out.
When that person comes to mind ....chase away the thought.
Refuse to dwell on past experiences.
Keep yourself super busy and let time go by.
