Why do we have to judge each others faith? Why do we look at each others faith and point out the flaws? Why can't we love each other? I am a different faith than my mother and we still love each other, why can't it be like that for the whole world? Aren't we all the same in God's eyes?

Yes. All the religions teach about love, we all gather together and pray. Then we all (those who believe that there is only one God) say that there is only one perfect way to get to heaven and that is to obey God. All the religions who believe in one God are the same, we all believe in the same God and we obey Him. Then why do all the religions say that if people don't follow their way, and instead follow the other religion who believes in the same God, say that they will be condemned in hell for being on their side. All of us who believe in one God say that there is a perfect way to get into heaven and that is to obey and worship God yet we denounce each others beliefs. I think it is the work of the devil to spew such hatred against each others beliefs to veer us away from God. No matter what religion you are, if you believe in one God - keep your faith in Him and do not judge others religion especially that of your relative religion. Peace and love.

I have a divine message from God. God is the only one who could judge. God wants us to love one another even if we have different beliefs. God is love and quick to forgive. If you expect to get into heaven, act like you are in heaven already and be like you would be if you were in heaven and that is to give your all to God and love one anothers. Only God says who will go to heaven and who will go to hell. Do not tell your brother or sister that they will go to heaven or hell because of their beliefs. Peace and love.

I find some beliefs frightening. Not all believe in God my friend. Your idea of love and faith is what He wants from all His children. I agree, why can't we all get along. However, as you can see right here on R&S there are those 'cults' if you will, that forever want to turn us away from God. I have two best friends, one is a Christian and one is pagan. My pagan/wiccan friend is open to what I believe and even listens and asks questions. She's even asked me to pray for her. But I know the day will come, when I'll never see her again unless she turns her life to God. Yes, I can be friends with a pagan and I love her deeply but I am also afraid for her. And yes, I wish we could all get along, but we are after all only human.

All of the major religions have more in common than they have differences. As soon as people start focusing on similarities instead of trying to pigeon-hole each difference and segregate, the sooner we can all get along.
The little things do not matter. If there was a Jesus like in the Bible, I like to think that he wouldn't hate and judge people, and most certainly wouldn't spread hate as his message.
It's only when we organize religion and demonize those who don't believe our specific beliefs (and let's be honest, is there anyone out there who agrees on everything with someone?) that we have problems.

Don't lump all Christians together, jay... And doesn't your answer prove her point about judging others?
I digress,
This is an excellent and sad question. We are all equal and good in God's eyes, but as humans we ar fallible and we forget that. So many faiths think that theirs is the only way to God, the only way to salvation, and that others are not only wrong, but must be shown the errors of their ways...
It's sad that although religions preach love, humans reserved love for those who think like them...
Love could solve war, if we'd only let it.

Very well stated! Yes, we are all God's children and He loves each and every single one of us regardless of our religion or lack of. God's ways are so far above our ways as the heavens are above the earth!

Your absolutely right. If you and your mom can dot it why not the rest of the world. I think war comes about because certain individuals wish to use religion to gain power and influence. The same happened hundreds of years ago in acient ROME when christians where being killed for their choice in religion. History repeats itself, unfortunately.

What you call religious wars are rally political wars. Seldom are wars caused by religious beliefs.

You are lucky with your mother's attitude on your religion. I converted to Judaism from Christianity, and my parents made life hell for me for the next 35 years-till they died....trying to get me back into their church, so I wouldn't be damned. They even thought they'd be damned because they had raised me to forsake the ''only true'' religion.

Not according to christians we're not. If they were more focused upon their own sins instead of trying to force everyone else to adhere to their religious viewpoint, they wouldn't be objects of so much disdain.
