Seriously though, your bf sounds violent. So you probably shouldnt date him, you could get hurt. And a college professor is not the best guy to go running to either. Stop messing with both of them, and find someone new.

Frankly, I don't think you should pick either. Neither one sounds like a winner.
You can't have a relationship with your professor without him losing his job, unless you wait at least a year after you stop being his student...and since he is almost 10 years older and he's a professor, you'd always be the 'child' in the relationship, not an equal partner.
If your boyfriend is angry and violent I don't think you should stay with him! That kind of thing can be attractive when you're young, but it's dangerous when you get older.
In the end, it's up to you - but realize that you can do better than either of these guys.

You should move on; forget about both of them. The boyfriend is violent; eventually, that will affect you -- if not directly through domestic violence, then indirectly. As for the professor, it could get him and you in trouble, and you kicked out of school (not to mention the problems it's causing with the current guy). Find a new guy and forget about these two.

You should pick either of them. Even though age shouldn't be in the way of loving someone, he is your teacher, it's not right to have a teacher going out with a student, and if it comes out bad at the end, it wouldn't be pretty when you go to school. You should stop loving your boyfriend because he can't control his temper and you can easily get hurt too.
