Even Evil people know how to do good to their own kind.

Luke 11:13
If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

It would seem that it is saying that it's the evil people that know how to do good, and not the Christian goodie goodies, but that's just my opinion, which is what you asked for.

I would think it is self explanatory.

If a sinful man knows how to give good thing's to his children, how much more will God, who is Holy, give to His Children the Gift of The Holy Spirit.

It is simply portraying the Love of God the Father towards His Children. That's the lesson that we have to learn to trust the Father no matter what, He is always there for our good. His wish is that none of His Children perish but all to become Sons and Daughters in His Kingdom.

That's why whenever you ask anything from God, believe and He will supply it according to your needs. I think it is just an metaphor used here saying, you being evil, the meaning and the ceterpoint lies on the Love of the Father to His master cretion.

We all inherited sin from Adam and Eve's disobedience, yet we love our children and we know how to give them good things that will be good for them. God, on the other hand, is perfect and he created us and knows best what is good for us. Therefore, if we know and give good things to our children, we can be assured that he knows and he will give us holy spirit which is a wonderful gift as it helps us to understand what the truth is about God and about his purpose for man and for the earth and how he will make all these things come to fruition.

That is a good question.
The context of it is that we are all sinful - we all have lied, cursed, been self-centered, etc. No person is without sin.
However, God is without sin - pure and holy.
God is making a point to us - if we who are sinful can still be good to our children - that is, love them and give them good gifts, how much more is God able to do that?
And this is a promise as well... that he will give us the Spirit of wisdom, peace and truth and everlasting life through faith.

Sinners love their loved ones like anyone else loves their loved ones. But God is our heavenly Father who knows what is best. He always answers the prayers of His children. The answers are either yes, no or not yet.

Read the whole chapter of Luke 11 to understand the context. It's all about God.

I've read this scripture before,I cant remember exactly, but I think it was talking being kind, generous and forgiving to others.

As the Father is kind, generous, and forging to us; so also should we be kind, generous, and forginving to others.
