Ah! To be 13 and confused again - you don't know how lucky you are.
Go for it. You don't break people up. People break up by themselves and you just happened to walk by at that time.

Well she did dump him and the boy has a right to choose who he dates , a girl can't decide this for him . Just tell them you only went out with him because she had already dumped him and he made his own decisions for himself and tell it like it is . She will remain jealous but your not to blame for it . If he hadn't chosen you he probably would have chosen another girl who he felt more suited and attracted to so whats the difference he felt something lacking in his current relationship apparently .

That tells me that the girl must be close to you too. Is she your friend? if so too bad - you have had an eye on your friend's boyfriend for some time. (unfaithfulness)
You are the cause for them spliting up, yes everyone will believe you had been dating him before they split.
BUT
If she is not close to you. I see nothing wrong in dating him, if he is as fond of you as you are of him, even if you are the cause of them breaking up.
BUT
Your are 13, so young, and fond of a boy? I think you should slow down a bit. And i think your parents need to know who you date.
good luck

hey you guys are young so just go out and have fun everything that happens is for a reason so if you like him and he choose to be with you then live life if he flirts it fine because he is young and if he does not do that now when he gets older that's going to be a problem so just have some fun.

Start dating him. Pretty bad for a girl to dump a guy for flirting. Jealousy is an evil thing.

besides that, what if he flirts with others while he is with you??? i think you need to move more slowly,,,,, young people seem to "go together" make a commitment as boyfriend/girlfriend,,,, when they really should just be dating/hanging out, etc,,,,,, with out labeling it or making a commitment,,,, that way anyone can flirt with anyone they like,,,,, without hurt feelings and these type problems,,,,

I had the same problem. I liked this guy, but he liked me more then his gf but didn't want to break up with her, and at the dance we were dancing ("dirty") and his gf came in and broke up with him. Everyone said it was my fault.
But, if they say its your fault, say, "no, he liked me. It would be my fault if they broke up because of me and he DIDN"T like me."
Because if he flirted with you, then obviously he likes you.
And his gf didn't HAVE to break up with him, she could of still dated him but had him on a tight leash.
