Two things come to mind. One is the death of the older partner, leaving the younger one alone. When a younger man marries an older woman, this isn't a big problem - women live on average 5-7 years more than men, so that much of an age difference is nothing!
The other issue that comes up is the difference in perspective of the two. When a 65-year-old woman is ready to retire and move away from the big city, her 50-year-old husband may be reaching the pinnacle of his career. When she's tired of children, he may be ready to have some of his own. Plus, she's already been through it all before, which can be an issue.
I'd say that up to 10 years is alright, but after that you really need to be clear on the pitfalls ahead of you. It can work out, but you need to ask yourself if it's going to be worth it.

Now a days, society accepts surprisingly plenty something, the question should not be what others think of, that is how soft are you with it? It shouldn't count number what human beings think of. If it have been a 39 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous guy with a 23 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous lady could it make a distinction? base line is that in case you 2 chanced on something collectively, possibly you could only pass with it and spot the place it is going, look at Demi Moore, they look chuffed whether or no longer she's a action picture star does not count number, that's the actuality that they chanced on something in elementary and went with it. individually my husband is one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days youthful than i'm, and we've been collectively taking place 17 years. My hats off to you. GL.

The number is of years becomes too many when one or both of you feel uneasy about the relationship. An uneasiness caused by the outside world counts because you can never live in a bubble - that uneasiness will always be there and will grow.

My dad was 13 years younger than my mom when I was born. Thats a big difference. The big thing is, though...he cheated. He was still a young guy, looking to get his kicks. If you're ready to commit to this woman, and you really want to be with her, age doesnt matter. But remember, she is at a different point in her life than you. Re-assess what you want from the relationship, and what she wants. There you will find your answer.
Just remember...she prolly has better sexual knowledge than you...USE THAT WHILE YOU CAN!!!

I'd say you're only as old as you feel. Having said that, if you think you are compatible, age should not be such a big criteria. Don't worry about what people say! I'm over 30 and feel like a "kid at heart'!! :-)

Some studies have found that a 16 yr age gap is about the maximum...but, if they really love each other, age should be no barrier.
