Yesterday I saw a girl in a store about three years old. IT was noon and she was still in obvious pajammas with her hair unkept and food stains on her face. When the fat worthless mother dragged this kid out to the car she put her in the front seat with no belt on and lit a smoke before driving away. In your mind... is this child abuse? Should we be giving this fat whore of a mother a state aid card to buy her groceries at caseys and ruin this child... probably have another soon too? Am I wrong for wanting to kill the woman and do the kid a favor?

I don't know about child abuse. Bad parenting, certainly. Until you know more about the day to day life of this child, it's impossible to say. You saw a snapshot of what was going on. It's clear this woman has a pretty poor idea of what to do with kids, and basic car safety, making sure a child is dressed well, etc. It does make you wonder how much worse things are at home, if that's what is being allowed to be seen.

If I were you, I'd watch out for her again. See if she turns up again with her child and judge the situation then. If things are the same, then it might be worth calling the police or social services because you feel there is a child at risk. Note down her registration number. After all, who else is going to look out for the child if her parents aren't bothered?

Putting the child in the front seat without a seatbelt and driving away is indeed child abuse. Smoking around a child can be called child abuse also since the child will be breathing second-hand smoke. Killing the woman though, that's probably a little too far...more like take the child away and put her in a better home..maybe with responsible relatives?

This is a great example of horrible parenting. While I do not in the slightest bit encourage this, or defend her for doing it, I do not believe that abuse is a term that should be thrown around lightly. Is the child beaten? is the child berated constantly? That is abuse. You saw food stains, so it is safe to assume that the child has been fed, so that isn't an issue....

well there are two answers to this Q:.......
the first is take the number of the car down and report it to the police and tell them what you have seen and your worries for the safety of the child. (it probably will not help because if the child is being abused and the services go to the house every thing will be in order then the child will get punished for some thing ect...) then keep your eyes open to see if the lady and child show up again ect.....

and the sec.
is mind your own biz and your life will be just fine...

That's bad parenting. But not child abuse. and people should learn to mind their own business, sometimes. Yes, it pisses me off when I see akid on the front seat PLUS without a seatbelt (actually, you could have called the cops for that one). And it pisses me off when I see a kid with their parents smoking next to them in a closed space. But this is none of your business. If she were being beaten, then THAT would be your business.

Because in that case, I would call the police every time I see a fat woman giving sweets and chips to her already-overweight 6-year-old kid. But that's none of my business, so...

And I don't think you would be doing the kid a favour because she probably loves her mum!

i just HATE wen people smoke round small kids. it sounds bad but u prob dont know exactly how many mothers drive with children and no seat belts. i work in a nursery and the amount of times i see it makes me want 2 scream. one mother puts her 3 and 5 year olds into the back of the car and they are standing on the seats and moving around as she drives away. does my head in. but there could always be a simple reason as 2 why the child was in pjammas..

Actually in most states child endangerment. Since the child didnt have a seatbelt and was in the front. The rest, just bad parenting. Sad that anyone can become parents now days, huh?

It feel either one of them want extra awareness, animal abuse, and youngster abuse. In my opinion they're each as unhealthy a every different. No residing creature will have to move via the abuse a few move via.

That's being a bad parent. I would have gotten the plate # and called the police. Maybe then she would get a ticket and get referred to some parenting classes. I think every parent should be required to take at least one parenting class, maybe have a certificate that should be renewed every few years. I think some, well alot of people aren't equipped to be parents. Kids don't come with instructions, but they do make you license your pets. Don't let me get started here.I have four kids and I have taken parenting classes. They really did help out alot. I would recommend them to every parent.

That poor kid. You need to call the police and tell them what happened. That family needs help, and fast. I dont know how a person could treat their child like that.
