It sounds like you get nervous.... So try to stay calm. Find a common interest and talk about for a while. Make sure to find another before the subject is exhausted so that the other person doesn't get bored.

People (girls in particular when they are dating) do not like to be 'grilled' (asked a lot of rapid-fire questions) Ask questions where she can feel free to express herself, and focus on "her" rather than trying to appear to be 'getting the cart before the horse.' Let her talk about herself, not answer a bunch of questions.
