I have recently begun studying with a group from my church. I'm enjoying it very much. I did notice that some members of the church don't attend, especially a very good friend. When I asked her, (this is someone I consider a very Godly person) she said she rarely studies, and really never has. She doesn't quote but she can tell you what is in the Bible. Neither does she participate in Church activities such as our Christmas Boutique.

I find studying the Bible and I mean in depth (we get into scientific proof of the Bible) I have learned more than I ever realized.

What about you? Do you study? How do you study? I'm very curious.

properly, i have attended needed faith classes throughout the time of my college career the position we realized about all forms of different religions yet noticeably about christianity, judaism and islam. I actually have study passages from both the Tora and the Koran and that i'm rather properly study on the bible (i understand the biggest thoughts in the former and new testomony). As a youngster, it became exciting to study about an excellent type of those different non secular perspectives, even with the truth that already back then i did not precisely have self belief in it. I recognized it more desirable as a kind of historic components (which in a way they are). later on at the same time as i discussed with non secular human beings, I made the extremely bewildering journey that i became commonly a lot more desirable ideal suggested about their scriptures than they were (noticeably when it comes to fundamentalist christians), even even with the truth that i'm an atheist. it is authentic that in case you opt to grow to be an atheist, all you ought to do is study the bible (or the different holy e book that you've self belief in) from conceal to conceal.

Yes, I do study the Bible. In a Group. We search for all kinds of information, in books and history from different sources. of course on internet too. The Bible is a nice book for anybody to read if you are a believer or not.
If you read about the history of the bible you find its a unic scripture that tells us about how the Israelites had to cope with there life and there relationship with God. Also many historical facts are written in the Bible. Its amazing how 40 People inspired by God, living in different countrys and living in different centurys and from different backgrounds, like kings, scholars, fishermen and so on, came about to become autors of the Bible - and it all points to one message.
And you know we have a copy of the first Bible dating back to 1000 B.C. There are many people that have tried to prove the Bible wrong, many tell you its been changed but noone has given any proof to that.
On the contrary there is proof that this original Bibel is still the same as the one we have today. The Dead See Scrolls written in 100 after Christ confirm this. There are thousands more New Testament Greek manuscripts than any other ancient writing. The internal consistency of the New Testament documents is about 99.5% textually pure. That is an amazing accuracy. In addition there are over 19,000 copies in the Syriac, Latin, Coptic, and Aramaic languages. The total supporting New Testament manuscript base is over 24,000.
You see we have a trustworthy scripture to learn from. Jesus warned us from false prophets that are coming after him. He too spoke of the Bibel as the true word of God. God's word does not change and sure he won't change.
As for your friend she needs her own time to go this way.

I read/study my bible daily on my own and am in several different bible studies through the church as well. I love to study my bible on my own as well as with the others in my different bible studies. When you study with others, you get so many different opinions and points of view that it really has helped me to look at things in a different light. There are times, in my women's bible study, that we have been there until 10pm because we were having such a wonderful discussion. I believe that part of being a Christian is studying the bible and challenging what you thought about different verses and books against what others think.

I study the Bible by reading it. My father is part of the Church Ministry and he read the Entire Bible. He tells me stories and I listen because all of it is interesting to me.

I ask a lot of questions to my father and he answers it carefully and I finally learned a lot. How you study is based on patience and curiosity. If you are willing to give time to learn about God and his people then there won't be any need to ask us for any help.

Also, I watched The Passion of Christ and The Nativity Story. Anything related to God and Jesus, I will definitely watch it but I didn't wanna watch The Da Vinci Code. I hear it's a great movie and I believe them but I just don't want to see all of the lies and fiction made by a man's imagination.

Just read the Bible and search Wikipedia.org cuz it wil definitely answer your questions about Jesus

I read it quite often. How else will I be able to throw it back in the face of the stupid delusionalists who think that they have a monopoly on truth based on a book written long ago by men who thought the world was flat and disease is caused by demons. Not only that, they believe it is a violation of their rights if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their superstitious beliefs down every ones throat. We just have to marginalize these people, which may mean an all out war against institutionalized stupidity.

As a minister my mind is constantly in the Bible. I study from a standpoint of the gospel, as I am a gospel preacher. The Old Testament is part of the gospel, as the OT leads to the gospel. Read Isaiah chapter 53 and you will see the prophesy of the gospel.

i'm studying theology and that is giving a deep knowledge of God and his word.
i encourage u to study more and more because the word will build inside u so ur faith will get stronger and stronger

but be aware of studying and not doing
because u have to apply what u r studying in ur live and u also need to tell others.

its not a knowledge to be kept inside u its also for others benifit

i also encourage u to find a ministry and join it that will help u to give others what u know.

God bless u
