I like a girl that I meet in a book store. What should I say when I approach her? WHat topics should I say in order to make the conversation longer.

Ask her what she has been reading, who her favorite author is, ask her to tell you about her favorite book and why she likes it. If there is a cafe in the bookstore, ask her to join you for coffee/tea while you talk. Once you get into the conversation, listen to what she says and ask intellegent questions about comments that she makes. You can be a little silly, but if you do, make sure that its obvious that you are teasing. And don't make fun of any genre or author, because you don't know if she likes that genre.
If you are having problems approaching her, go up to her and ask her where to find something. Say that you've seen her there before and thought that she worked there. When she tells you she doesn't, apologize and then ask her questions (see above).

I've found out that if you need to try hard to find things to talk about then you probably don't like her in any way other than sexual attraction, in which case you don't want to be in a relationship with her since it would be a waste of both of your time, since there would be no real meaning in it.
Just go up to her an like somone said, ask her something about the book she's reading. If things go well from there you should just be able to keep the conversation going easily enough, and, well good for you.

Just Smile and say hi.Look at what she is reading.if you know about the book start a conversation off of that. If you don't know about it talk to her about the genre or ask her if the book is any good.
And no cheesy pick up lines. Like what are you doing for Christmas? Cause I need an angel for my tree!

well.. since you both have met and in a bookstore.. you may ask her about the books she like.. share common interests about the books you both appreciate! but anything will do just never ever sound nervous or desperate! and of course if she is interested in you or enjoys the company.. then she herself will make the conversation longer!
