The problem is not so much with the BORDER as it is with our feel good liberal politicians and courts. We allow a subversive group that is hellbent on dismantling this great country to file lawsuit after lawsuit that essentially cripples any useful legislation that would serve the will of the people and actually solve the problem.
The subversive group is the ACLU. Under the guise of protecting our civil liberties they are actually taking them away.

Look what happened to California's prop 187 in 1994. This would have been a valuable tool to discourage illegal immigration. This was 12 years and 12 million illegal aliens ago. The ACLU filed suit, a liberal judge agreed to hear the case, and a liberal governor, that was later IMPEACHED, allowed the proposition to die without the court ever making a decision. So how many people did it take to subvert the will of the majority of the California voters? only took three.

So how would I solve the problem?
Expose the ACLU for what they really are. They are not helping us.
Get rid of the Liberal judges that stretch and bend our Constitution so far that the founding fathers wouldn't even recognize it.
Vote for politicians that will actually work to solve the problem like Tom Tancredo.
Enforce the laws that are already on the books. Like KATSULOVE said: We don't need to reinvent the wheel.
Most importantly start using COMMON SENSE!!!!!
It makes NO sense to pay the Border Patrol to stop illegal immigration when every othe branch of the Government is willing to pay to encourage them to come. Esentially our government is saying that if you can get past the Border Patrol we will feed you, educate, medicate and house you. We will look the other way when you apply for benefits if you drop some "anchors" on our soil. We will allow you to march in our streets, wave your flag while desecrating ours, demand rights that you do NOT have in your home country while you remain loyal to it, sing our national anthem in YOUR language and we will do NOTHING.

Somehow that does not make sense.

1- Build the fence

2- Try recruiting more for the Border patrol and spreading them out along the border.

3- Get flashlights, motion sensors, watchdogs, towers, etc.

4- Reform the Temporary Worker Program

5-- monitor visas closer

6- REFUSE ANY SOCIAL SERVICES FOR ALIENS

7- IMMEDIATLEY DEPORT ILLEGALS WHEN CAUGHT, NO CATCH & RELEASE ****

the ones here now are not the problem, the problem is the influx coming in now

It has gotten so bad that we need armed military on the border to patrol! We also need to deport the millions who are here draining our social services, and increasing taxes. Federal money needs to be cut off from any city who shelters these criminals by refusing to uphold and enforce our laws! We need to impose stiff fines and jail time on employers and landlords who employ and rent to illegals. If we cut off employment and housing I think we will see part of the problem get smaller. We need to crack down on ICE and the INS to make sure there is no corruption so there will be total and swift action on the part of these agencies to get the job done.....quickly! With no waste of the taxpayers money on "due process procedures". We should not be worried about the "rights of lawbreakers" who thumb their noses at our system and steal from Americans!!! I say the last free thing an illegal should get in this country is a free ride home!!!

The only reason congress and the national government is talking about problems with the US borders is because thet want to get peoples minds off of all of the things they are doing wrong.

There are more americans stealing social security and not paying taxes than illegal immigrants.

Get the U.S. factories that have operations in Mexico to pay it.s workers a wage they can actually live on also prosecute the companies here that hire illegals If there were not so many jobs available to illegals in this country they would not have any reason to come here in the 1st place!

I would use our military for patrolling our Northern and Southern heavy duty fences we are building. That's assuming that we continue to build them. We must also spend the necessary funds to properly inspect our seaports and airports. The cost will be huge but minimizing the flow of illegal drugs, counterfeit cargo and above all, illegal immigrants would be worth it.

Build a wall on the Canadian Boarder because those Gosh Darn Canadians keep taking our best hockey players. Then I would annex Mexico into the USA and give everyone citizenship. Oh with the influx of new Catholics, we'll have another Catholic President...I guess we'll get use to President Ceasar Chevez II will due. Oh Boy I Bet I can't wait to see the response to this.

We have every resource, financing and physical ability to do it. All we're missing is politicians who aren't willing to sell us down the river for cheap labor. The border is an open passage for terrorists, drugs, desperate people who no one can blame for wanting our benefits on our dime. If we actually start hitting the corporations where it hurts (in the wallet) and charging them criminally for hiring illegals, that would be a great start.

1) LEGALIZE selectively those illegal immigrants that reside within the U.S. borders.

2) STRENGTHEN border and immigration security.

3) IMPROVE legal immigration service, there is definetly something wrong with it.

4) DEPORT all those who didn't apply for residency or didn't pass the requirements for it.

I would use the military to patrol the border, and the border patrol would work the ports of entry. Oh yes and the military would have the ok to use force.
