Puppets are a great way to bring up issues in the classroom. I usally reinact a situation between two puppets and then ask the children- What can they do to feel better?

Short skits where the students create the topics and dialogue (with help, of course). I've seen this used to address topics such as bullying, taking turns. In my son's pre-k, they act out stories like Billy Goats gruff also.
