Normally I never smoke weed. I did though on Nov. 1st. I was seeing a man, for about 5mo. I got very drunk with him then he took out some weed. I don't remember all of it, but i did get high. Worse, we ended up being together. It was my first time. a few days later he tells me he had a girlfriend of 2 years and he was not going to tell her about me. I can't even remember the first time i had sex. I did go to PP right away. Then i felt like such a shitbag i got high with some friends on the 11th of Nov. PROBLEM:. This week I've been offered the chance at the my dream job, but they want drug test first week of 2007. What should i do? Should I risk it and give 2 weeks notice to my job? :( Is the Pot out of my system???

having had no experience with this sort of thing, i really don't know how long it takes for pot to get out of your system. However, I do know about herbal medicine and any type of herb that is a liver cleanser will remove drugs from your system. i understand that many companies now test for the presence of some of these herbs also since it is very common for people to use these for the purpose of passing drug tests, although they continue to use them. Since you seem to have learned your lesson and the test isn't until the first week in January, I'm going to recommend that you take 3 standardized Milk Thistle capsules 3 times a dy for 1 week with plenty of water. This will rid your body of any impurities.

What is done..... is done. The bad choice you have made will hopefully remind you of the important choices you have ahead.

Depending on how honest you were that it was your first time and second time, and how much marijuana you smoked that night.... 30 days should have metabolized by now. Of course, if you were a chronic user.... you could test positive for many months afterward. Analysis of human hair has proven prior drug use dating back several years.

One of the more important, and greater issues to consider is whether you are going to return to that behavior. The fact that you have friends who smoke marijuana is an immediate indicator that you might do so again.

Take stock in your life. Perhaps you need to stay put, until you can learn to "say no." Employers who are serious about drug testing are serious about not hiring drug users.

Remember some jobs will have the "three strikes you are out" rule. Using some drugs will instantly prohibit you from obtaining certain security clearances (unless you are Elected President).

Maybe you should hold off on the new job for now. Don't use drugs as you are only hurting your own future.

THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) can stay in a person's body for as long as 3 to 90 days after smoking or being ingested orally. If you're a habitual user, measureable levels can be detected for up to 3 months. Marijuana is fat soluble and is stored in the fat cells of the body, the brain, the liver, the kidneys, in other words the major organs. With that being said, traces of THC can be detected by standard urine and blood tests for about 2 days up to 11 weeks depending on your metabolism.
There is a very good chance that you will pass your drug test if you've only had 1 or 2 drug encounters with small amounts of weed.

Pot should be out of your system then. I believe it takes a month. What I would do however is never do it again. I live and work in an area where it is very normal to do those things and the lack of comprehension is amaziing. Besides, pot is 5 times worse than cigarettes.

Ah, to be that young. Dream job or keep dreaming and smoke pot. Hah! Don't smoke any more and take the drug test at 6 wks. later(jan 1st). You should pass the drug test, but what about the lasting effect? You've compromised your life and values to a degree you'll deal with later. And, oh yes, you'll certainly have to deal with it, too.
