It depends. Do her parents see it as too much? Do you keep the relationship going at an appropriate rate? Do you love her? If you keep the relationship going, will there be pressure for her to drink illegally when you can?
If you answered no/yes/yes/no, you're in the clear.

I think at that age it can be. You are at different stages in life, being 19 you are out on your own, or can be, and the 16 year old is still just in high school, and honestly doesn't know who she is yet. So much happens and so many changes can happen to someone at the end of high school and after, that it can be very difficult to keep a relationship going. Although not impossible, just not very likely.

Yes, for a few reasons. One because of the statutory rape it may involve and then you have the basic maturity that is lacking yet needed in a relationship. If a person is still dependant upon parents to feed and shelter them and still are required by law to go to school it may mean that they are not ready for any real responsibilities that my arise such as making sure they do for themselves and anyone else they may become responsible for. Are both of you the kind to do what you need to do more than what you WANT to do? If so then I called them mature enough to be responsible for whatever situation that may arise. Also do you guys look down the road (with logical reasoning) about plans and how to handle life. I use that measurement for anyone at any age. If you and this girl are able to say that you take care of all your responsibilities w/out having to be reminded or made to, then it is a pretty for sure thing that you are great candidates to carry out a relationship. But the final one is do you guys respect laws of the land and the laws of her gaurdians because that's the first thing any responsible person should respect in order to show that you are a honorable person rather than a selfish one that is ran by his desire. Choices are what we all have to make, the difference is that you must care to make the right choice and it starts by remembering that love does not want it's own way but wants the way that is right. Not if one can get away with anything when they know it may be tabu or if they can get enough people to agree with them. What is right for her because she just may be a bit too immature to make decisions when she is by herself and taking advantage of that just may be an advantageous moment for you. Although it may be extrememly difficult, try to be honest with yourself about why you want her and just can't wait for her to turn the legal age. Try to do this without using Hugh Heffner as an advocate.

While emotionally you two may be compatible, it poses a legal problem in most states. The 19 y/o has reached majority age but the 16 y/o has not. Well, depending on what state you live in.

That is not too much of an age difference. My paternal grandfather was 15 years older than my grandmother. He died six months after their 50th anniversary.

And I have a friend who is 15 years older than her husband. They've been married for 28 years.

I'm not trying to say that you'll marry the girl, but the age difference doesn't make for a bad relationship.

If she was my daughter, yes .As we get older the age span becomes less relevent ,at this borderline age though young adukts need only to learn from doing things with their own age group, this is where experimentation is all on the same level ,this of course coupled with "responsible" adult guidance. At 19 a male is neither of the above and is generally looking to exploit and remove innocents rather than instill .

Typically 3 years isn't too much but it is in this case since she is still a minor. Regardless of how old she acts and how old she looks, she's still a child and that's what the courts would consider if the issue ever came up. I would say play it safe and just be friends or leave her be.

Guess that depends on what her parents think. I had a 19 yr. old boyfriend when I was 15 but my mom was OK with it b/c we spent a lot of time with our families. I don't think it is a big difference but it depends on maturity levels of both people involved and what each one of you want out of the relationship. Just some things to think about.

Not very many years ago this would be ideal. People married and
started there familes at these ages. Now a days it´s a bit wierd I must admit. I suggest waiting a few years. If it was meant to be than it will happen. Do you know what happens to dudes in jail when people find out there chimo´s? Bad **** brother.

hmm that might be a little to young. I would give it until shes 17 and your 20 give her a year to grow up. I don't know why but the year between 16-17 is a big one. and then if you still like each other than date.
