Also have gone to the races on double dates (each couple gets in elevator and sees who can reach top floor first). Need other interesting and exciting date ideas which are inexpensive.

You sound like a case of arrested development. The easiest way to find out is to know your potential date's likes and dislikes. Become a friend first, then worry about whether sitting on a bench and counting the number of buses that go by is what rings your bell.

I found this really cool park that was locked up at night that I could easily break into. We loved going there for picnics, it felt so good being so bad breaking in, then we were in our own world.

how about going to the library and taking out a book on star constellations than going to somewhere secluded at night where you can see the stars and try to find the constellations.
