Try cleaner. Honestly if they taste it once they will be fine but it will taste bad. Now if they keep doing after one time then definetly try something else.

You have a puppy/beaver cross?!?! Would love to see pics!!!
If you haven't started crating your dog yet, now id the time. Even beaver x's have a hard time chewing through wire. You may want to get a crate that has a smaller mesh so that he can't get his teeth in there.
Then, redirect the behavior, since you will only be letting the pup out of his crate when you can give him 100% attention. Have a puppy toy hidden in your hand, then let him make the choice to go try to chew on a forbidden something. You'll be close by so you can block his mouth and then show him the toy. Make it exciting by snaking it along the ground, squeaking it, pulling it away from him so that his retreating "prey" is more exciting for him to take.
If he goes back to the forbidden object, scoop him up and put him back in the crate. Try again in a few minutes. The puppy learns, "Hey-if I try to bite that thing, the fun's over!" This will really help you in the future.

Just curious....

When you say Green Apple doesn't last, are you saying if you leave your dog there for a long time 'your puppy/beaver' goes back to building his dam?

Does the Sour Apple spray work for the short term? If it does, you might be dealing with another problem. If you are leaving him unattended, you might have a mild case of separation anxiety.

The reason I ask is that dogs are very social animals, and they need to chew. Will your dog chew rawhide? You need to make sure your dog has lots of tasty stuff that is OK to chew.

I had a dog (still have the old man) who COMPLETELY remodeled my house. He destroyed textbooks, backpacks, carseats, everything...... He had severe separation anxiety and he destroyed anything I owned once I left. Worse than that, he could escape any fenced yard (over, under, or through the fence). Eventually, he trained me to keep everything I like out of his reach.

Good luck.... and never, never give up on a puppy. You are all he's got.

For the atheist ! How did knowledge and memory evolve, and from what , where , and how did the two begin ? How did they evolve from nothing ? Your own earthly science has proven that you cannot produce order from chaos , nor can your science produce something from nothing ! For the Big Bang believers please explain the following to verify your proof of it ; You say that everything started from one Big Bang explosion and , POOF the universe was created , correct ? Then explain to the rest of us why out of the X quadrillions of heavenly bodies that make up the universe that all came from the same place at the same time ; why the earth is the only heavenly body in the universe that supports life ! If your Big Bang theory was accurate , then wouldn`t all the X quadrillion other celestial bodies be the same as earth , as you claim they all came from the same origin of the one and only Big Bang ? How can you even consider evolution as the way an orderly , organized process of such complex issues` progressed without a foundation , or a plan if you will ; when you can`t create something from nothing ????

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUMjn

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Get hot hot pepper sauce. Also put a drop of perfume on it. When dog sniffs--get smell of perfume. When chomps gets huge mouth fire. A few times using the combination of both, then you can use just perfume. The smell will get associated with the pepper reaction. So make sure you use a perfume that you like the smell of.
Also, you have to give the dog good, appropriate things to chew. This is a major source of please, entertainment and developmental need. Scatter lots of bones and old shoes and sticks around. Put a few drops of builiion on what you want the dog to chew on. The buillion will attrack the pup.
My favorite occupy-the-dog toy is a plastic jar of mayonaise or peanut butter that has just a little bit left of food at the bottom. My dog will spend hours licking at it, trying to get his nose in, and chewing at the edges.

Nothing could keep my dog (when he was a puppy) from destroying things, either. We crate trained him after losing tons of shoes, and even a desk chair. That solved the problem because he only got into trouble when he was bored, i.e. when we weren't home.

There is a product called "Yuck" that can be purchased at most pet stores. Many others may have harmful effects on your dog, this won't.
