There's a much better way.
6 mini meals is pretty hard to track isn't it?
There is still a lot of debate among nutritionists whether the 6 smaller meals per day idea is any better or worse than the traditional 3 meals per day plan.
You can keep your metabolism rasied either way.
Check out The Logic Diet.
This new plan will teach you what to eat, when to eat, and how much to eat, so you can lose weight and keep it off for the rest of your life.
The best parts are that you can eat a lot of food in the early Stages while your transitioning into your new lifestyle, and that NO exercise is required at all to see the results!
If you do cardio or workout, then you'll see the results even faster!

Well, I did this and had a hard time with it. I suggest eating your 3 basic meals with snacks in between. For example, for breakfast eat an omlet or a piece of wheat toast with pb and bananas. About 1 1/2 after that, eat an apple or a rice cake with pb or jelly. For lunch, eat a salad. 2 hours after that, eat veggie sticks or a slim fast/granola bar. Then, eat a lean meat for dinner with veggies.
I use a small plate instead of the big dinner plates. I think the 6 mini meals is hard because it's time consuming and i was always hungry after I ate because you're only allowed 200 calories. I dunno..i wish you the best of luck tho!

Six small meals a day will keep your metabolism running at a faster consistent rate. That is why people who skip meals dont lose weight - they are slowing down their metabolism. And yes, I would eat about 1 or 2 cups per meal. You probably eat 4 cups per meal 3 times a day (12 total) so divide that by 6 - two cups! Make sure you are eating fruits and veggies, too!

if you are trying to lose weight with 6 meals a day, then each of those meals should be about 200 calories each.
p.s. i tried this, and it did not work at all for me. 200 calories is like a nature valley granola bar. not satisfying at all.
