If you are using gas to heat your home that's probably the culprit! Also a lot of people are burning wood now and gas fumes from your heater (carbon monoxide) will definitely do it. Do you live within 100 miles of a facility that burns chemicals or incinerates anything? Cause sometimes the winds can carry that stuff in the air for miles. We live about 80 miles from Pine Bluff Ar. There is a Paper mill there (really stinks), as well as an Arsenal where they burn chemicals, sometimes we can catch the effects form it even that far away!! Something like that can be causing your symptoms too. Or maybe something at work irritated it, maybe fumes from a cleaning solution. Sometimes things that we are already around everyday even for years can suddenly become an allergy factor it's weird but true. You could flush your sinuses with a store bought solution ( or make your own with colloidal silver, or just a peroxide/water solution about 2 pts peroxide to 8 pts water) while in the shower, do it a couple times. Put a clean filter in your heating/air supply. Maybe buy a couple ionizers for your home. That will help a lot.

You could be coming down with strep throat. Or, do you suffer from allergies? Sometimes being around different irritants can cause a burning feeling in the throat.

probably the low-stage of a bad cold. You can get the inflammation and irritation but not the full-blown illness. It is probably aggravated by heating if your house/workplace/school heat is going strong. Get plenty of fluids, use throat lozenges for relief and maybe aspirin or tylenol.

this irritation could be because of some allergy ,you can be benefitted by doing saline gargles and steam inhalation.
