I have a temper that can go from 0-100 in 2.5 seconds. I can become so enraged over things that I truely feel I could shred someone with my bare hands. I feel all the blood going to my head and my heart pounding and crap--its kinda scary. I have always been this way and wonder if I might really do something crazy one day. I know others have this problem to--but not sure if anyone would talk about it-or tell me what they do to keep from having an blood vessel burst in their head over something.

I have a truly vicious temper that can flare up for no reason, and it is scary, ive had my hands round someones throat before because they said the wrong thing to me, that really freaked me when id calmed down, i now try all sorts of things to keep my temper, like hitting a pillow, counting to ten (or more!) taking deep breaths and trying to keep my gob shut, sitting on my hands so I can't throw anything at anyone. sometimes these things work, but every now and again the red mist descends and I loose it big time, but not as often as I used to.

There is a great audio course that goes into great detail about to topic of anger is called "When Anxiety Attacks" By Steven Diamond http://www.attackanxiety.com

I would seriously think about checking it out. The skills in that course can change your life.

I used to be really bad with this myself. When I realized that I was doing it just to make myself feel better I realized how destructive it was and learned to recognize when it was coming on. Now I simply think I could explode or I can let it go. Let it go ok. It's not worth that feeling you get when you have to walk around with your tail between your legs. I realized how selfish I was when I behaved this way to others having to take that from me.

I am just like you. I get so mad, that my blood pressure goes up to the point that my chest and neck get red spotches all over them. I had to be put on anxiety medication, and it has helped me tremendously. You need medicine also, or you actually COULD have a stroke.

if you get this when someone does something to you then ( I know this is hard) forgive them. when you get mad, you make it worse for you, not them.
if you just get like this for the smallest things, then pray about it. it's human nature to get mad to lie to sin, it isn't God's nature. if God got mad at us and screamed and stuff at us everytime we did something wrong, then who would want to be with Him? but no, that's not how He is. you are hurting yourselve more than others when you blow up like this.

God bless!
