Last weekend my gf of a month and I had a really bad date. She found out some bad news about her sister earlier in the day (who I have not met yet) and we started of the evening with a major miscommunication that I apologized for immediately. The rest of the evening she was cold, critical and distant, and was the same on the last date I had with her as well. I am worried she wants to break up with me and is holding off until I finish my grad school finals. But if that were the case, why would she still be hanging out with me? Nevertheless, I miss the girl who used to be so affectionate and greet me with hugs and kisses. What can do to bring that spark in her eyes back? She is so distant now and refuses to bring up her sister and had me promise not to bring it up (I have no idea what the news was). I just don't know what to do, I was falling in love with her but I don't know how much more of the lack of intimacy I can take. I want her affection back, I miss the her b4 the news

Sweetie it sounds as if she is going through a really hard time personally. I don't think it's about you. She'll open up when she's ready. It's a shame that this happened so early on in your relationship while you two are still getting to know each other. The roses and chocolates aren't as necessary as opening up to her. If she's that important to you, then you need to take the risk, Instead of going out, suggest a cozy evening in. Order in Chinese or pizza, have a glass or two of wine.If she's acting distant, nuzzle her neck and massage her feet. A foot rub is so amazing! Talk to her. Talk about your day, about how good it'll be to get the finals out of the way, about how much you enjoy spending time with her, how happy you are that you met her.when you did. Then shut up and let her talk if she feels up to it. If not, just hold her. She'll melt. All the best. Let me know how it works out.

well it must be really confusing for u at the moment wel wht u can do is give he a lot of space may be she just need alone time to get over, whtever the matter is
so dont call her , tell her u cant see her tonight coz u have some issue of ur own that u cant talk abt at the moment ( same wht she did to u) and dont discuss much things with her like u dont no her that well
so if she really wants u she will give u attension and will try her hard to make u feel better the same thing u doin rite now
second option:
go up to her tell her ur problem , how u feel like , taht if she wants to be with u then plz cheer up and be as before or if she doesn't wanna be with u cheers tata good bye y u waistin ur time for move on
best of luck
ps: i would say give the first option a shot

Hey, you sound like a nice guy. So you put your foot in your mouth a little while back but you were big enough to apologize, right? Seems to me that she grow up and quit visiting her mood problems on your time with her: if she doesn't like your company, she should say so and move on- if you have (hard to believe from what you say) done something terribly wrong, she should let you know what it is- if she's just in a pissy snit over some sister problem that had NOTHING to do with you and taking it out on you, you might want to rethink what kind of girl you're falling in love with. There are men and women out there who get off on yanking others around emotionally, don't go there.

If she's not feeling you right now the roses and chocolates might piss her off a little. I would feel as if you were trying to overcompensate for possibly being an A*hole the other night.
I would just want you to talk to me. Ask me questions about how I'm feeling and what's going on with me. She may open up and flood her feelings all over you but in the end you'll be closer for it.
If she doesn't respond well to the questioning though I would back off completely and let her make the next move. Sometimes we women want to be the pursuers.

It sounds like she has issues she needs to deal with, sounds as if she needs to be alone for awhile, tell her that you will give her space so she can work out whatever her and her sis's problem is, let her know you will be there for her when she has sorted her feelings and problem out. Some people just need alone time, People react and solve their problems differently. Maybe she dosen't like you the way you do her, She could have gotten really bad news about her sister, anyway i believe i would tell her also you miss the girl she use to be and that you miss her that way. Anyway i hope things work out for you, good luck

men always think a girls way through her heart is through her stomach. just joking. that would be good but what you can do aswell is just show up and tell her you have a surprise and take her to somewhere with a beautiful view and then tell her how much you love her and then give her choclates and just be her friend! that should do it.

if she is already moody and you have only been dating for 1 month then what do you think she will be like after a year? i think the flower idea is good but you shouldn't have to buy her things to make her happy.
