I think fireballs answer should be reworded a bit in order to be the truth:
it IS ego...christians love the martyr complex, it makes them feel superior...are you jealous? CHRISTIANS DONT know what the Bible says because they refuse to read it all the way through and God always lies!!

Not all christians believe this, in the same way if a student gets an "A" in the beginning of a class they have to mantain that grade untill the end of the term if they want to pass with an "A".

Once saved doesn't mean always saved, in other words if a person agrees that christianinty is the religion they want to believe in it takes more than accepting christ as the saviour to be a christian.

So in retrospect some christians do not automatically assume they are going to heaven just because they are christians. No matter what religion a person chooses to believe in there is a lifestyle they must live that proves they believe what they believe.

I agree with you. There is a Book of Life and your name has to be in it. From what I gather simply following the wrong prophet can keep your name out of that book. That one act can undo all the other things you've done in your life.

Christians also spend too much time debating who that one or those wrong prophets are instead of following Jesus. If you're a Chrisitian that's the only prophet you should follow. When man conflicts with Jesus, you should side with Jesus. If you can't side with Jesus, you should be in a different religion.

I respect your debate on this but never assume we automatically go to Heaven. We know it's God's judgment and we know what to do to get there.

Can't you realize evil is around you? Christians and non-Christians are trying to make this world better and all you care about is this argument? I don't believe I will go to heaven because we need to WORK to get there. I bet you have done a sin, I have sinned too and but I will not predict my future because no one can.

Everyone knows God is powerful, Christians are spreading the word to be GOOD not for them to go to heaven but to do what is right even if we go to hell. We don't say, "Oh, he stole something...he'll go hell." We never say such nonsense! Saying we're gonna go to heaven is a sin and it's called PRIDE and this is the Mother of ALL sins. If we were to do good we wouldn't say we will go up.

Understand that it matters to us to go to Heaven but we never assume we will go to Heaven. It's more of a GOAL not a WILL. We will do whatever it takes to get there but we'll never know if it's enough.

God only judges those who are not his children. If you are a christian, and love God with all your heart, and have a REAL relationship with God, then yes! God WANTS to spend eternity with you, because you are his child. I know that I am going to heaven, because I have a real relationship with God, and I love him for who he is. Some people pretend that they are christians, and they are hippocrites, for they are of God. And I know, that can get really annoying. Everything that I have told you is in the bible, so try picking it up. P.S. If you have anymore questions, you can always e-mail me! God bless your heart!

Because if we doubt that we're going to heaven, then it would mean that we doubt God's mercy and saving power.

I mean, imagine if you started working for Donald Trump and he promised to make you a rich person. If you started doubting him, don't you think he'd get a little pissed off? Maybe a little insulted?

Hear Hear! give that racoon a prize.

All we can do is live by the assorted examples set for us to the best of our ability; and God will be the final judgeon whether we did well enough to merit forgiveness and reecive mercy.
