He's just excited to be in his new home. Soon he will get tired of all of the excitment, and just go to sleep.

Get a crate for the puppy to sleep in and give him a hot water bottle and a small fuzzy thing to put in it for him to lay on. Maybe put a blanket over the crate so it's dark. If he's still lonesome play a radio softly in the room with him. He should settle down in a few nights.
And take him for plenty of walks, but don't get him wound up right before bed.

I am a big believer in crate-training dogs. They learn to go there when they want to sleep, it's like a cave which they instinctively would go into if they are afraid, stressed, or tired. You also can put him in it and close the door if you have guests over or if it's time for bed. Some people say a ticking alarm clock nearby makes them calmer. Worth a try.

I have two dogs of the same breed and wat they will do is cry an whinge until they get attention especially as puppies. u can either try locking it in the laundry with a blanket and a ticking clock and food and water of course and try to ignore it, or let it sleep with you so it knows that its not alone. its probably just scared and unsure of its new surroundings. good luck.

lie down with it and let him sleep with you. when puppies are taken from their mom's, they look for the closest thing to cuddle. they are trying to get used to a new place. so just let him sleep with you. and also get them a stuffed animal that looks similar to them. we gave our dog one and he loved it.
God bless!

you are not gonna be able to force it to sleep, if you just got it give it time its probably just exploring its new territory, get it out and take it for a walk, maybe that will wear him down a little
