you don't mention if you had a coflict or something but sometimes teenagers are just like this,my one son pretty much doesn't talk much we joke that trying to get him to talk or share his feelings is LIKE PULLING TEETH,sometimes when he answers a question all he says is um,if you think ther might be a problem try talking or asking?also let him/her know that you love them no matter what and they can come to you anytime for anything.yes us as parents will SURVIVE the teenage years.GOOD LUCK!TO YOU AND ME

Everyone out here that has a teenager, has that problem!! It is called hormones, no sense in asking questions, because they don't understand what is going on and therefore, don't know how to respond.....Good Luck!

Teens go through a faze, but what you have to worry about are drugs and booze.
IF your a constant nag, they may turn to things they shouldn't.
IF your wanting counseling, your the parent, so force him/her to go!! You may find their very depressed and alittle medication could help that problem.
Get to the counselor, before something worse could come of it.

just let him be, if he wants to talk to you let him. If you keep pushing him it could result in not seeing your son every again, and when you finally do he got married and had kids without you knowing.
I know your not going to give this best awnser, but it is the truth
