Hello!! :o) I hope you're OK. A rather harsh question - I know. But reality is often harsh. And sometimes I wonder if my fellow Christians would PREFER that a new-born UNWANTED baby was thrown away RATHER than be given to a gay couple to raise. So I ask. If you are a Christian - and were given the choice between the two [Gay Parents or Garbage Bin] where would YOU prefer an unwanted baby ended up?! Have a great day!! Craig! :o)

karen v - Good for you. It's important for ALL to understand that a baby [and a child] could care less about the sexual orientation of his or her parents. ALL they want to know is that they are LOVED.

Cris C - No doubt you think you said something. But you didn't. Meanwhile countless numbers of babies and kids WAIT to be loved while people like YOU force them to wait for the 'ideal' couple to come along and adopt them. Shame on you.

fireball226 - Nothing hypothetical about it. There is little difference between allowing a baby to be unloved and unwanted and literally throwing them away.

bonnie m - Good for you. If only more of my fellow Christians would adopt that way of looking at life.

Patchesb - Sometimes there are other options. Sometimes there is not. And what if the hospital or fire station gave that baby to a gay couple - would you intervene?!

Desparado - I can't help but think that GOD is probably tired of looking at your backside. So do HIM a favour and get your head out of the sand. 'Trying' to save babies is not the same as 'SAVING ALL THE BABIES'. Not one baby [or child] should be unwanted or unloved.

REB - The term 'garbage bin' does not have to be taken literally. A baby or child that is unwanted and unloved and kept from BEING wanted and loved because SOME people THINK that it's pleasing to GOD - are treating those babies as IF they are worth no more than garbage.

jlgran - IF you're saying that a gay couple who wishes to adopt a baby should be subjected to the same scrutiny as a straight couple who wishes to adopt a baby - I agree.

Linda - Good for you. Babies and children - in fact ALL OF US - need to be loved.

Angel Of Death - Just so you know - THIS Christian [meaning ME] is far too often frustrated and disappointed by the attitudes of SOME Christians.

Godis - As a Christian - I often wonder what 'Bible' some of my fellow Christians are actually reading. Thank God - literally - that God is far more loving than many of His followers.

EVERYONE!! Thanks for all of the great responses.

to me i would say a gay couple than to a garbage bin, and anyone who throws a baby away needs to get their head examine, the baby did not ask to be born, at least with the couple the baby would get more love than anything and it doesn't matter if the couple was gay or not we are all loving human beings

Good question, and I notice some of the xtians on here chose to not give an answer but to dance around the issue or come up with options not on the list. I would say anything is preferable to the garbage bin as long as it's a decent home. Although I look around this world sometimes and wonder if maybe the trash bin is preferable, but that's just my negativity rearing it's ugly head.

Baptism doesn't work any "magic" with God, as if it's a remote control to turn salvation on or off. Christians have their children baptized, trusting the Lord to work His promises within them as they raise their children according to His law. Regeneration is assumed until proven otherwise. Absolutely, babies not yet baptized are considered to be Christian. They are taught, not witnessed to. Unfortunately, some Christians deny infant baptism, and so they have to wonder about it and ask questions like this. Denying the need for a Savior and calling them blessed anyway because they have no belief whatsoever, takes away their hearts and makes them the moral equivalent of the dining room table. May as well put the table in Heaven too, when it's done with its useful life.

With an Gay Parent who are we to judge.
Children need love, and to said words like that isn't being christian
what about people that living together that is not married that according to the bible is a sin and there more parent living with someone and they are not married it in the million or billion and to
ask a question about one problem and forget the other is not right the bible speak more about being unmarried then it talk about Gays. should those kids be in the garbage bin as well
see how we judge. there parent is breaking the law of the bible you think and according to the bible this is worst

the way you phrase it is a bit weird but I'll play your game:
Thrown away. There are billions of us already. Yes I am a christian, and I'd rather think some animals risking extinction deserve more attention than a race that is messing up the planet in a million ways and has no real respect for LIFE except their own. I mean, if there is a God then I am sure he ain't hypocritical like most of us.

edit: hey hey I mean ABORT IT. If he is ALIVE AND WELL I'd rather the gay parents

If gay parents are deemed by authorized social service professionals to be proper guardians for a child, then it seems fine to me. Now, I do think there should be special parenting courses so that gay parents are prepared to raise a straight child (if the child happens to be straight). I'd have the same criteria for parents who adopt children of different races. No child should be left unwanted, so if there are loving parents (regardless of sexual orientation) who are ready to adopt -- I say let them.

Me I would take the gay parents, at least the child would be loved. I dont know why people put their babies in garage cans , drown them, you get the idea, when there are so many people out there that are wanting to adopt children.

What kind of a nut would kill a baby when someone is able to give it the love and care it deserves? I don't know any christians who'd do that, and if I did, I'd tell them what they really were.

The question is illogical. It is the Christian community that is trying to save babies, not the trash can or gays.
This option would never, ever come up, except in the mind of a "twisted" individual.

you know that people who are following doctrine are going to regurgitate the "good news" that they have swallowed.

perhaps just one follower will realize what they are saying while typing an answer and stop following (without a heart) blindly down the BULLY path

this is the season of hope!
