I know it is used for "come on" or "go ahead", but does it have anything to do with Allah?

I don't know specifically, but when I worked in Saudi Arabia, they would say "yalla mashayna" - obviously my spelling is open to question.
What the words might mean individually or the derivation, or if it's a literal translation, I don't know.
What I was told it means, and by implication in use, it means something like "come on, let's go".

The origin is not known to me. But I assumed the meaning of the word "Yalla", is "Oh, God"! ( Y - Allah ).

I was once married to an arab guy who was Lebenese. I was taught that it meant ---let's go or come on. Hope this helps
