How to drive up a slope after stopping for a minute as the car could move back and hit the rear cars

when i first started driving i used to pull my e-break, give it some gaz and then let go the e-break (can't do this if there's snow), but now i just kinda do it (i drive manual), you?

I put it in gear, set the hand brake, SLOWLY let out the clutch, when I feel the clutch taking up the drive, I SLOWLY release the hand brake as I'm releasing the clutch, giving gas.

auto keep your foot on the gas while holding the brakes a little. with a stick keep your foot on the cluch an the gas, giving the vehicle a little gas

If you are talking about on snow, the only thing you can do is try to get on the shoulder for some traction.
