Does your religion supports this point of view?

God has commanded us to love others as God has loved us. God is love and God loves the whole world. Will the whole world love God back? When we love as God we will have the same result as God. The point really is that we love because God first loves us. This is good reason enough to love others. We get our acceptance and rewards from God and not necessarily fron mankind although it would be good to have those from mankind as well.

It does not matter if they love you back. If you are a true Christian, you will treat others with love, even if they do not respond by treating you with love.

However, you cannot show love to others unless you have accepted the love of God first.

We have to receive love from above before we can pass that love onto others.

God showed us His love by sending down His Son to take away our sins. Until you believe that, you have not received His love.

I have known people who were told by their shrink that they were incapable of love, and when talking to them I found out that they have never experienced the love of their father in heaven.

It doesn't matter, when I treat others in a loving manner I know I have done the right thing. I find that doing so stuns the person seeking hateful reactions, and who really needs those?

Humanity is my religion ! It tells me as below :

When you give love it is returned to you doubled ! Believe Me .
You must forget after loving someone ,
I mean don't turn it into give & take transactions .

I also tell you a big misbelief about love .
I believe looser is not the one who has not received Love from anyone in Life ,
but looser is the one who can't give Love to anyone .

With any type of relationship, you get what you put into it, but it also depends on what the other is able to give. I think that if they are capable of love, they will love you back.

I don't practice religion, so that has nothing to do with it.

I'm an atheist. No, I don't think so. But you sure cannot hate others if they don't love you back. So you just have to accept it and move on. Make love, not war.

Remember to wear rubber though.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

Fair-seeming to men is made the love of desired things -women and children, and stored up heaps of gold and silver, and horses of mark and cattle and crops. That is the provision of the present life; but it is God with Whom is an excellent home.

And they feed, for love of Him, the poor, the orphan and the prisoner;

Say 'If you love God, follow me; then will God love you and forgive you your sins.' And Allah is Most Forgiving and Merciful.

HOLY MAN

hmmm. you loving others does not guarantee the reciprocation of that love. you claiming to love others in no way makes them automatically love you.

i dont have a religion. im an atheist. we dont go as far as to claim love. we do claim consideration for the well being of others....but that is in no way love.

i htink thos whole "love" things that christians use is just a tool to make themselves feel better.

No, loving people is not based upon what you will get in return from those people. We don't love each other because we expect them to love us in return, we love them because God says He will reward us in Heaven for what we do here.
