Yesterday I got a sharp stabbing pain to my head (behind my eye) and when I stood up I almost fell over - I had to wait a minute or so before I could walk and I was unstable when walking. I am extremely fatigued and today when I went outside and came back in I was dizzy (it seemed like the daylight and darkness had something to do with it). Now, I have had migraines for 29 years, but they never last more than a day - I have had a headache now for 4 days - migraine. They have been getting worse in this past year, but I am also 40 now and that may have something to do with it?
Curious - thanks

Sounds like you might want to check with a doctor on that incident. Especially since you've had migraines for so long - that sounds like something changing. Your lighting comment caught my eye, I've been considering buying some special Migraine Lighting I've found. -----> However, I have found treatment and information that works for me without $$ everytime, and has reduced my migraines to nil time - it really works fast.

For $9.99 you can stream a video that shows you a technique that works wonders, and I can do it anywhere - evidently lots of others agree - plus if it doesn't, the company's been in biz a very long time, and likely stands behind their money-back guarantee.

they also have a section about lighting, and special lights for migraine sufferers, but I haven't tried them yet! Below:

I suffered a broken neck and back and if the barometric pressure is at 30.00 I realize that my pain is constant and don't take anymore than the usual amount of pain pills because at 30.00It the pain is at it's absolute worst and the pills fail to work all I can do is suffer with both shoulders the screws in my back (six three inch screws) and the plate in my neck and the four screws holding it secure.....Until the pressure either drops or raises which during the last few days has remained very stable it is the worst it has ever been! .The rain, sunshine, and or wind, have nothing to do with it however it is usually raining when the barometric pressure is at 30.00 but not always and I can tell you when its at 30,00 no matter where I am or what I;m doing ! If anyone else has a similar problem please comment yes I also get the headaches but more in my neck shooting down my spine

I'm a fellow migraine-sufferer; sorry to hear you're in bad shape. My migraines have evolved and changed over 20 years, and some have lasted as long as a week. If your migraine is significantly different from your others I recommend calling your dr immediately. Better safe than sorry. Good luck!

It's possible that your age has something to do with it, but it's more probable it's something else. Get to your doctor soon and discuss it with them.

If you find you can't tolerate this migraine pain or if the pain/feeling is different than "normal" migraine pain that you get, get yourself to the ER pronto!!! It could be something more sinister than "just another migraine."

Good luck to you. I hope you feel better very soon.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Sounds like a migraine but you should see a doctor to rule out any other medical problems if it persists.

Yes that's migraine.
Avoid: chocolate, Kinine (like tonic),Spicy food(like Chinese), mushrooms, lemons, oranges.

Cola can help but not cold! Dark room and avoid direct light.
Fresh air gives the brain relieve and helps, also see that your nose is not blocked by sinusitis that can cause also migraine.
