My brother came home after like 8 years of service and will not tell us what his job was for the last couple of year he was in(I'm thinking he did something Top Secert) . I did happen to notice that he has a tattoo that says something delta near a triangle.

Dose anyone that was in military know what this could mean?

Thanks

Well, whatever he was doing it wasn't the "Delta Force" you hear about in the movies..if it was, he would tell you. Delta force is actually "Special Forces Operational Detatchment Delta", and they're recruited from Special Forces groups. They're incredible soldiers, some of the best America has to offer, but they're just very, very select, not secret. However, there are quite a few jobs in the service that he just couldnt get into details about due to security reasons.

Or, as older brothers are prone to do, he could be yanking your chain...

I have been retired since 1992 and there is still a ton of stuff I did overseas that I had to sign off on when I got out, and if your brother did some of the same stuff, if he was found to discuss it, he could go to jail for a very long time.

Also military members in highly trained special forces groups mainly don't get tatoos broadcasting it to the world, it could possibly give them bigger problems if they were ever captured. There are plenty jobs in the military that require a security clearance, I had one. If your brother doesn't want to talk about it, it doesn't always mean he was slitting throats in Cambodia for the CIA.

could mean Delta force...special ops. u would be right as to why he wouldnt mention his job. from what i understand, i may be wrong, the army doesnt like to acknowledge much about delta force....who knows, but that is what i would guess.

He was prob in a rapid deployment force. From experience, when you separate, if you did anything secret you had to sign papers and agree not to talk about it under penalty of law.

It doesn't matter what it means. You have no need to know what
he did. Some things are better left alone.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a nice day.

Thank you very much, while you're up!!!!

I can't tell you, 'cause then I would have to kill you.

In all seriousness, if your brother doesn't want to (or can't) talk about what he did, leave it alone.
