Peace is a concept hoped for all humanity. I believe in our day and age that there are individuals and societies striving and performing peaceful acts that better humanity.
One example of this was seen in 1997 at the United Nations Department of Public Information where they invited New York School children to UN headquarters to witness Peace demonstrations and presentations which followed by a Peace Flag Ceremony. Many world leaders’ attended as well as children who recently experienced war. Education is KEY to understanding why the world is at WAR and how to resolve pragmatic issues peacefully. In 2002 there were many peace organizations some of those movements against the war in Iraq were: “Win Without War” and “United for Peace”. There are thousands of movements globally which makes you think the MAJORITY of US want peace and we must be positive and know that Peace is a reality that will be established here on earth. If you are interested here are some organizations for peace listed below:

we certainly should do all we can to encourage peace, especially in light of the dangers our world faces. The Bible tells us to pray for peace, and it also commands us to "seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you" (Jeremiah 29:7).
But the Bible does not promise that we will ever have complete peace on this earth—not until Christ comes again to establish His perfect kingdom of righteousness and justice. In fact, the Bible even indicates that as Christ's coming draws near, we will see even worse conflicts. Jesus said, "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. ... Such things must happen, but the end is still to come" (Matthew 24:6).
Why does peace escape us? Why has the last century been the bloodiest in the history of the human race, in spite of all our advances in science and education? The reason is within ourselves—within our own hearts and minds. The Bible says, "What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?" (James 4:1).
Our greatest need is to have our hearts changed—and that is something only God can do. And He will, as we submit our lives to Jesus Christ. Have you made your peace with God by turning your life over to Christ? Make your commitment to Him today.

It seems war is the nature of man. We the people of the Earth have been at constant war since we came down out of the trees and lost our tails. Well It seems that maybe at first we rubbed two sticks together, said let there be light and like magic created fire. And with that came the Shaman and our first religious leaders. Then we went to war. Of course this is just an Atheist guess. kisses Betty.

There is indeed a method, could all people practice it? That is doubtful. The method was passed down 4006 years ago.
It is a simple practice.
Do by action or thought. or inaction, NO HARM.
Just refuse to harm. a simple yet powerful thing.
If every one on earth refused to harm anyone on earth. There would be no war and no crime.
Unfortunately there are people that don't listen to simple, easy to understand, rules.

PEACE? No, cannot without killing all animal life. No creatures live in peace. Animals kill for food, so the hunted never have peace. Man kills for power and material wealth, and always will, because it is just the nature. Actually, also women fight women like cats and dogs. And men enjoy rough housing sometimes, too to vent their homosexual tendancies. NOPE no peace for this earth.

Well, I would start with getting rid of the politicians who take issue with the values of others in order to better their own bank accounts....
This isn't limited to the U.S. -- this would be globally.
