When you realize that you are starting to do it, stop, and go into a restroom. When you get in there, rinse your fingers in water, and then insert them into each nostril. The water will usually melt the dirt and mucous. Blow your nose, to clean it out, and then return to outside of the restroom.

There is a really unpleasant tasting liquid that people put on their finger nails to stop them biting. I think it's called Nilbite...perhaps a drop or two of that would do the trick.

i usealy just do it when i am alone
i can get through a day withpout picking but when i dont it gets all in my nose and it hurts

i dont really know i just stopped, like wen i was 4 it was hard but my mom bribed me sooo, try that. Like wen ever u wanna pick it, if u dont then reward urselve with candy and wen u go a whole day.... do something BIG!!!
